Zeta Alarm Systems: Infinity 1-8 Zone Control Panel
Introduction
These Smoke Alarms have two separate locking features: one to lock the battery compartment, and the other to lock the Smoke Alarm to the mounting bracket. Page 4: Weekly Testing. NEVER use an open flame of any kind to test this unit. You might accidentally damage or set fire to the unit or to your home. EST QuickStart QS1 Free PDF Download at Fire Alarm Resources, Your Home for Free Fire Alarm Manuals, Catalogs, Software, and More.
The Infinity Control Panel has 1, 2, 4, 6 or 8 detection circuits (or zones). 1 & 4 zone panels have 2 sounder circuits, whilst 4, 6 & 8 zone panels have 4 in total.
The front cover and termination PCB should be removed before installation and stored in a safe place to avoid damage. Mount the Infinity control panel where the controls may be seen and operated without difficulty, where it is accessible for maintenance and at a suitable point of access for the fire services. Ensure that the panel will be clean, dry and free from vibration and temperature excess.
This equipment must be installed and maintained by a qualified & technically competent person and an understanding of Fire Systems installation & BS5839 is assumed. For more detailed instructions and further details please visit www.discountfiresupplies.co.uk.
Power
The 240V AC Mains supply wiring should be fire resistant, between 1mm² & 2.5mm², fed from a double-pole isolating & fused (3A) spur. This should be secure from unauthorized operation and marked “Fire Alarm: Do Not Switch Off”.
The mains supply must be exclusive to the fire panel and the cable should be routed away from the other cables as it enters the control panel adjacent to the mains terminal block https://coolqfil438.weebly.com/download-fl-studio-11-mac.html. on the right hand side.
Depending on panel load and standby requirements, two 12 volt sealed lead acid batteries (max 3.4Ah) may be fitted in the housing. The batteries should be wired in series (24V) using the supplied link-wire. Take care not to short circuit the battery terminals.
System Wiring
All wiring must be installed to meet BS5839: Pt1: 2013, BS 7671 and other regional standards & legislation. This must be in 2-core 1.5mm2 screened fire resistant cable for each circuit. Microsoft office 365 free download for macbook pro. The cable screen must be terminated and connected to Earth at the control panel only, connected through at all other positions, and protected with PVC earth sleeving to avoid unwanted earth connections.
Detection Wiring Zone
A maximum of 32 devices (i.e. smoke/heat detectors & Manual Call Points) may be fitted to each circuit.
All devices must give an alarm resistance of 470R: old style devices which give a short circuit in alarm are not compatible or compliant.
The End of Line diode is provided in the Panel and must be connected across the terminals of the last device on each circuit to allow the cable monitoring and all detectors should be connected using a dioded base. The End of Line diode is polarity sensitive and must be connected with the silver stripe towards the positive core.
Sounder Circuit Wiring
The sounder circuits are rated at a maximum of 150mA per circuit and a minimum of two circuits must be installed to comply with BS5839. All sounders must be polarized or a fault will be indicated on the sounder circuit.
A 10K End Of Line resistor which is supplied with the panel, must be inserted in the last sounder for cable monitoring. The sounder circuits are protected against short circuits with an electronic fuse which will automatically reset when the short circuit is removed and the control panel is reset.
Auxiliary Interface Wiring
Fire Relay: The volt-free SPCO relay changes in any fire condition. Max 30DC 500mA. Fault Relay: This volt-free SPCO relay is normally energised and in a fault condition the output relay turns off to ensure fail-safe operation. This output may be configured to operate as an additional Fire Relay if required. Max 30DC 500mA.
Connecting and Testing the System
Before connecting any circuit, power up the control panel with all of the EOLs fitted directly in their terminals. When the 240V AC mains supply and the standby battery are connected there should be no fault indication.
Check the detection zone and sounder circuit wiring for correct continuity and insulation before connecting to the control panel. Do not use a high voltage insulation tester after the devices are connected. Continuity resistance should be approximately 1.2 ohm per 100m of cable. Insulation resistance between cores and earth should be greater than 1M ohm.
Remove the EOLs from the panel one circuit at a time and verify that a fault is indicated. Transfer the EOLs to the last device on each circuit, connect the cables to the terminals in the control panel and ensure any faults indicated are cleared. Repeat for all detection and sounder circuits.
Test all detectors, manual call points, sounders, relays etc. for correct operation using the One Man Test mode.
Test one device in each zone in normal operating mode to ensure all sounders are operational, take sound level readings and log them.
Measure the current consumption during normal operation and during alarm by putting a suitable current meter in series with the batteries, before removing the 240V AC mains supply. From these readings verify that the battery capacity is suitable.
Train the End User / Responsible person in the use of the Fire Alarm System including how to operate the controls and how to carry out their weekly test. Ensure the system Log Book is completed and handed over, the zone locations list is filled in and the operation instructions are mounted beside the control panel.

You know your area best, choose the carrier with the best coverage (we also have a StarLink Signal Strength Tester Tool, too.) And, why be locked into a manufacturer's choice of central station and subjected to unavoidable mandatory price increases? Be as competitive as you'd like, shop around; they're your accounts, send alarm reports from StarLink Radios to any monitoring office you'd like (requiring no special equipment either).
Connect to More RMR with StarLink Connect Multi-Brand Downloads and Smart Bus Support (Honeywell/ADT, DSC, Gemini panels)
StarLink Connect Cellular/IP Communicators play well with others: New DL models for up/downloading using native software, e.g., Compass for Honeywell Vista® Panels &/or DSC® Panels using DLS software, or Napco Gemini's Quickloader. And Multifunction StarLink Connect Communicator / Hub Models, also provide top panel brands with smart SMS communications, e.g., text message alerts for your accounts, for things that happen or didn't happen. And because StarLink Connect supports smart bus activity on the Honeywell/ADT, DSC and Napco panels, activity can be pinpointed, events grouped and messaging can be smartly identified to accounts, as texts on their phones &/or controlled via the smart keypad app that exactly matches the one on their wall, be it a Vista®, Safewatch® or Power® Series (+ Napco Gemini). Plus, your company can use that same smart virtual keypad app for true hand-programming, and do remote, contactless service calls, saving truck rolls.
Hot New Remote RMR Service with Popular Panels, too. Not only does the StarLink Connect Cell/Hub provide panel support for popular brands (Honeywell/ADT, DSC, Napco Gemini), but our App provides you with a top-selling feature for accounts: Custom alerts and a keypad interface on any smartphone that mirrors the one on their wall, in looks, functions and commands. With this affordable service, customers can stay on top of whatever's going on in their homes, and stay in charge of their security system, wherever they go with their phone.
Save a truck roll, too and do Contactless Service Calls - Use that same keypad app from StarLink Connect — but do customer service calls and updates remotely on your smartphone or smart device – on the mirrored virtual keypad at the premises, check status, look at open zones or troubles, even do keypad programming (click here for support by model). Update users, settings and more, from your phone, or download the full panel program using your panel model's native software.
The Bucks Stop Here- Avoid Unnecessary Expenses & Equipment
StarLink Communicators are designed to be easy and quick to install in minutes. They are low current draw, so they eliminate the need for extra power supplies. StarLink Fire Communicators additionally eliminate using extra conduit for installation. Plus, StarLink Fire Dual Path Cell/IP Models are self-supervised, eliminating a supervision module, and they have 2 new onboard modular jacks for easiest FACP quick connection. All StarLink models have over the air software upgrades, so you'll always have the latest technology, without rolling a truck. We stand by our equipment longer too — StarLink Communicators have Napco's standard 3-Year Factory Warranty (including over-the-counter exchange) vs. the shorter period of many of our competitors. Speaking of which, unlike some of our competitors, who are no longer with us, or sell your products to Big Box Retailers or DIY online — we've been here, dedicated to the professional security channel alone, over 50 yrs. So no worries – we've got your back.
Why StarLink LTE Communicators are proven to work better – even where others won't
Even in difficult LTE coverage areas, StarLinks work better because they use twin dual diversity antennae –both separated & independently spaced. Each antenna receives signals simultaneously, then, using Signal Boost™, StarLink signals are intelligently selected and combined, to maximize the signal & eliminate signal drop-outs. In contrast, single antenna competitors are more prone to multi-path effects, i.e., signal disturbances prevalent in large commercial settings, where signals can disturb or effectively cancel each other out—often unavoidable with a single stick antenna design. For still greater reliability and confidence, all StarLinks are preactivated to confirm proper communications, saving you onsite labor & time. Optional StarLink Omni-X Extended Antennas are also available for even extremely challenging locations, and for use on all Radio brands, coming complete with full mounting hardware (ground plate for Fire) & low-noise LMR-type cable of various lengths.
Code Compliant & AHJ-Friendly
StarLink Models meet or exceed the compliance codes for each of their applications, i.e., commercial fire, intrusion or connected services, so your jobs will too. Our many models, in ABS or Metal Enclosures, to meet local /regional AHJ codes, meet applicable UL and/or NFPA Codes. And we keep a dynamic document with downloadable compliance certificates by model online, all-in-one place for you, so you can pull one down and have it handy whenever the need arises. Plus, we have different Signal Plans, as required by different codes. And, avoid those unplanned monthly surcharges, too. That's not who we are – StarLink offers unlimited signal plans as Standard.
Replace POTS land lines with cellular alarm reporting quickly and easily with code-compliant, panel-powered StarLink Fire Communicators. Don't wait for copper lines to disappear in storm damage or be retired by the phone company - risking lives and liability in an emergency. Migrate or takeover lucrative fire alarm accounts, including millions of 12V and 24V FACPs, communicating via Contact ID or 4/2. Low-current usage, enables StarLink Fire to be panel powered, eliminating the need for extra power supplies, extra conduit run & transformer. Generate new Fire RMR, providing accounts with cellular alarm reporting, while saving them $1000's of budget dollars per year vs. dedicated POTS − Each Starlink Fire Cell Communicator replaces 2 leased landlines per FACP. Own and control the whole path, earn more now, as both the provider of alarm monitoring and the communications service.
